Our organisation is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to join our team. The Registered Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Registered Nurses and the wider care and anxillary team, developing and updating policy in accordance with current regulations and managing patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for nursing, excellent people skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceuticals.
Mountbatten Nursing Home is a 30 bed privately owned and long-established nursing home, providing high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. We offer nursing care for the elderly and those with complex medical health needs, we are privileged to look after those aged 30-100+ years.
We have been providing our very own special type of care here at Mountbatten since the 9th of October 2000. Led by our Registered Nurse Manager and supported by our team of nurses, senior carers, and care staff alongside a team of ancillary staff who work together to create a friendly home from home atmosphere.

Proprietors Richard and Sally Brice are supported by the senior management team, the shift managers and wider care team.
Since providing exceptional care is about listening to and adapting to each person’s unique needs and wishes, we combine high standards with a flexible approach.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of care
- Providing guidance and support to staff on clinical issues and ensuring effective communication between staff, residents, and families
- Developing and implementing care plans for residents in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is up to date
- Participating in the recruitment and training of staff
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures for the care home
- Deal tactfully with patients and/or their families when making decisions affecting the patient’s care.
- Act as liaison between outside nursing staff, doctors and hospital departments.
- Train nurses, care assistants, and anxillary staff in work responsibilities, safety rules, techniques and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
- Proven experience in a management role within a care home setting
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to residents
